CASETiFY iPhone 12 Pro Max Tempered Glass Screen Protector: Installation and Review!

CASETiFY’s tempered glass screen protector offers edge to edge protection and is protected with DEFENSiFY—CASETiFY’s antimicrobial treatment—which eliminates 99% of bacteria. However, it doesn’t come with an installer, which may make installation more difficult. In this video, I’m going to show you how to install the CASETiFY tempered glass screen protector for iPhone 12 Pro Max, and check out its fit with the CASETiFY Impact and Ultra Impact iPhone 12 Pro Max cases.

In terms of look and feel, the CASETiFY tempered glass screen protector is excellent. It is very responsive, with no issues as far as haptic touch is concerned, and the optical clarity is very good. The oleophobic coating does a good job repelling fingerprints and feels super smooth and slippery underneath the fingertips. And of course you have that additional protection against bacterial buildup from DEFENSiFY, CASETiFY’s antimicrobial coating. As a tempered glass screen protector, it is going to be quite resistant to scratching. It is rated at 9H hardness, and is going to fare much better against scratching than polymer screen protectors. However, special impact resistant polymer screen protectors such as the RhinoShield 3D Impact screen protector that I just took off this phone are going to provide greater impact protection than you get with tempered glass. That greater impact protection comes with an increased tendency to scratch and show fingerprints, however, so, as with most things in life, it’s a trade off.

In terms of case compatibility, this is going to work perfectly with CASETiFY’s cases, and with many other cases as well, such as the Mous Limitless 4.0 or Speck Presidio2 Pro. It is considered ‘edge to edge’, but doesn’t go quite as far over to the edge as some screen protectors, so that is going to make it a bit more case compatible. It’s also only .33 mm thick, so that adds to its case compatibility as well. Looking at it with the CASETiFY Impact case—great fit here—almost all the way over to the edge, with the tiniest of uncovered strips. The same is true with the CASETiFY Ultra Impact—great fit there as well. And of course with the CASETiFY Impact and Ultra Impact cases, you have antimicrobial protection built into the cases as well, so when you add a DEFENSiFY protected screen protector, your entire phone is wrapped in an antimicrobial bubble.

Overall, this is just a really nice screen protector from CASETiFY and a lovely complement to CASETiFY’s Impact and Ultra Impact cases. The only complaint I have is its lack of an installer—perhaps CASETiFY will add one in the next version.

The CASETiFY tempered glass screen protector and Impact and Ultra Impact cases for iPhone 12 Pro Max are available directly from CASETiFY and are priced at $35 for the screen protector, and $60 for the Impact case and $64 for the Ultra Impact. However, if you bundle a screen protector together with a case, you can save $10, as the screen protector price goes down to $25.
